Craniosacral Therapy Techniques
Craniosacral therapy (CST) was developed in the 1970’s by Dr. John E. Upledger who was an osteopathic physician. CST is accurately based on osteopathy developed in the 1930’s by William Garner Sutherland. Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a type of gentle hands on manual therapy which is a form of body-work. The light touch that a client will endure is about the weight of a nickel in order to observe the cranio-sacral rhythm that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The cranio-sacral rhythm is made up of fluid exchanges between the arterial blood flow to the head, and draining the fluid back into the venous return flow. By providing craniosacral techniques, the therapist is the facilitator encouraging the client’s body to heal itself by releasing tension to allow the whole body to relax and self-correct.
Craniosacral therapy strengthens the function of the central nervous system by activating the parasympathetic nervous system (the calming center) so an individual can perform optimally eliminating pain and stress, asymmetries in the body, strengthen the immune system to reduce or prevent disease, and to boost a person’s health and well-being.

Ayurveda Wellness Counseling
Ayurveda is the science of life that was prevalent in India more than 5,000 thousand years ago. ‘Ayur’ means life and ‘Veda’ is science or knowledge. It is one of the most comprehensive medical sciences of the world. It is a science for your mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda is a conscious-based approach to health that brings harmony and balance in all areas of your life. Ayurveda is a purely naturalistic system which depends on the diagnosis of the three body constitutions – vata, pitta and kapha – in order to achieve the right balance of health.
It is not merely a system of treatments for diseases like the allopathic system, but the holistic method of maintaining all round health and wellness. Ayurveda emphasizes balance and harmony with the help from nature itself. This balance is ‘dynamic’ and needs to be achieved in areas of a person’s life: physical, biomechanical, intellectual, emotional, behavioral, spiritual, familial, social, environmental and universal. Because of this, Ayurveda treats the individual/client with all three dimensions: body. mind, and spirit. More emphasis on the prevention of disease with the help of diet, daily routines, and seasonal routines. Ayurveda deals with diseases, their diagnosis and treatments with a unique approach toward purification and rejuvenation, therefore it makes use of body massages, herbs and yoga, besides several medications.
According to Ayurveda, the definition of a healthy person is “one who has balanced doshas (body constitutions), balanced agni (digestive fires), properly formed dhatus (tissues), proper elimination of waste products, all bodily functions are proper, and whose soul, mind, and all five senses are in bliss”.

The Body-Feedback system identifies the best essential oils to promote healing and maintain health based on a person’s individual needs. It uses specific muscle groups and acupuncture points which become reactive or painful when symptoms or imbalances are present. The most effective essential oils will release tender or painful reactive areas thereby showing us which oils your body needs. Therapeutic grade essential oils are packed with enzymes, vitamins and minerals and are able to penetrate the skin, fat, muscle and even some brain and bone matter. These applications allow for a variety of application methods that address a wide range of health issues. I believe if we listen to our bodies they can show us how to help heal ourselves.
Raindrop Massage Technique®
Raindrop technique was developed by D. Gary Young, one of the leading experts on aromatherapy. This technique involved dropping essential oils onto the spine and then working them into the spine using various methods which stimulate energy impulses and disperse the oils along the nervous system and throughout the body. This method helps to reduce spinal inflammation and kills viruses that hibernate along the spinal column. It is also effective in reducing physical symptoms of spinal curvatures and aids the body in restoring balance by clearing and re-aligning the chakras or energy centers. Even though the massage only lasts an hour the oils can work for up to a week or more in the body.
