Restorative Yoga with A Trauma-Informed Approach
Instructor: Erinn FitzGerald
Title: Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga
Day & Time: Sundays 5:00 PM
Description: This class is appropriate for many levels of experience and all bodies including beginners. Together we will explore a range of meditative and restful floor-based poses that are held for several minutes with the support of props to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. Meeting stillness is the pathway of this practice for deep relaxation, muscular release, increased breath capacity, and quieting the mind. Throughout this practice options and variations of poses are offered so that you may personalize your experience to meet your needs and preferences for your body and nervous system. This is a practice of self-care in service of our own well-being. Let us explore balance and harmony of the mind-body connection so that we may grow our practice off the mat and into our unique realities from a wise and grounded state of being.
